**I'm from the Philippines and our main train line the MRT runs 40kmph.
It's irritating, it's crowded and it's not a good way to start your day going to work. So I made a list of the fastest trains in the world.
How I wish we had these trains in our country.
10.Shanghai Maglev
With a top speed of 430kmph and average of 215kmph, who would thought this bad boy is made in China. Extending from Longyang Road Station of Metro Rail and ending in Shanghai Putong. It only takes 26 minuets for this maglev train to traverse 31.1km.

9.Harmony CHR-380A
The maximum operational speed is 380kmph and that's also the average speed. That's right, it always goes for the maximum, it provides daily service to commuters from Beijing to Shanghai. Yes it's made in China again.

8. AGV Italo
Hailing from Italy, the train that looks like a Ferrari. It has the maximum operational speed of 360kmph, The train currently runs on the Napoli - Roma - Firenze - Bologna - Milano corridor.

7. Siemens Velaro E/AVS 103
With the Maximum Speed of 400kmph and 350kmph operational speed there's no excuse for you to be late for work. It's built for long distance travel though, it services travelers from Madrid to Barcelona.

6. Talgo 350 (tr350)
It looks like Donald duck, in fact it's nickname in Spain is El Pato (meaning the duck in Spanish) but it's probably faster than road runner., same with Siemens Velaro it runs an operational speed of 350kmph

5. E5 Series Shinkansen Hayubasa
No surprise here, the Japanese know their trains alright. This is currently the fastest train in Japan with 320kmph maximum operational speed and 400kmph record on trial. It runs in the Tohoku Shinkansen Line,

Just kidding!!! haha it's one of our trains here in the Philippines, the train is ok, altough it's not as fast as the ones from Europe or China it serves it's purpose.

4. Alstom Europduplex
This is a great way travel Europe. It operates on the French, German, Swiss and Luxembourgish rail networks. It has the top speed of 320kmph, not bad for long distance travel.
It has a highly specialized traction system that adapts to the different types of current used in Europe. It can carry 1020 people on board.

It's just as fast as the Alstom, with operational top speed of 320kmph.

2. FS Class ETR 500
I'm not sure, what's with Italians and fast objects. This train operates in Italy. With 300kmph operational speed, it runs through Rome to Milan.

I'm not really a fan of Taiwanese made products but this thing can really fly you know, operational speed is 300kmph
