Planning to come to Bicol Philippines?
I have a suggestion, why don't you go to Buntod beach.
Well, Bundot beach is actually not a beach but a small island of white sand and is a nature sanctuary so fishing is strictly forbidden. There are some mangroves at the side but don't worry the mangroves just makes it more beautiful

How to get there? From Masbate City you can reach Bundot islet by boat, the small boat can be contracted by from any shore line in Masbate, the boat fare ranges from 250-500php depending on boat size, but usually that's the rate. Anything higher than that and you can consider a ripoff.\

How long to get there? 20-30mts tops

Accommodation. There's an old wooden cottage standing on pillars about 15ft high (so the water can't  rich it), it's nothing much, some chairs and tables, a place where you can cook ( like a grill) with charcoal, with 2 rooms and some care takers, but I'm telling you it's nothing much.

When to go?- A good time to go is high tide, where only a small portion of the islet can be seen., you can bet that everything looks pearly white (when it's high tide), when it's low tide though,... it's really not that good to look at.  So when is going to high tide, just watch the moon. =)

Thread carefully- What I learned from swimming there, is that the sea bed is uneven, you can walk a couple of feet and be surprise, at one point your at knee deep then all the sudden it's 20ft of water. So careful, also there are some sea urchin that can hurt you... careful careful ayt!?, main island is still 30mnts away =)

All in all, the its beautiful place especially at sun rise and sun set.. it's a view like no other in the world.
