Fine you wanna see how the Philippines will fair against China? Let's take a look, ayt!?
We're just going to compare the Navy. Let's not include the rest of the forces.

   VS
Philippine's Gregorio Del Pilar                     China's Zhonggou Haijian 75

These two ship are the ones patrolling the Spratly Islands close to the Philippines, now let's take a look how will each fair against one another.

The BRP Gregorio Del Pilar or Patrol Frigate 15
It is armed with the following;
-Mk.75 Oto Melara 76 mm
-two Mk.38 M242 Bushmaster 25 mm chain gun at midships
-Phalanx CIWS system aft.
-six 50-caliber 12.7 mm machine guns
-Mk.38 gun aft close to the helipad of the boat (yes it has a helipad on it)
-Speed 28 knots (52 km/h) max

How about China's Zhonggou Haijian 75
-It has 4 machine guns, 1 in front, 2 at sides and 1 at the rear.
-Top speed 24 knots, (but actual sightings, say top speed is just around 16knots)

Well there you go, the obvious winner is haha.. of course BRP Gregorio Del Pilar, even if there are two Zhonggou Haijian (the other one is Zhonggou Haijian 86) against BRP Gregorio Del Pilar there is no way the Zhonggou Haijian would win, NO WAY it's a Research/survey vessel

So I guess round 1 goes to Philippines, huh!?

Ok, so there you go. Philippines sink the Chinese vessels unfortunately those damn vessels were able to call for help.
And now China is pissed wants some Maritime payback.

So how will the Philippines fair against China.
Let's see.

The Philippine Navy has.
24,000 active duty personnel
Frigates (main battle ships one is 60 year old Raja Homabon)
11 Corvettes (smaller type of war ships)
71 Patrol ships/boats
10 Landing ships
Auxiliary ships

How about the Chinese Navy
-22 destroyers
Others..... China didn't disclose the rest of their Naval power to the world as of 2011.
Philippines doesn't even have a destroyer.

I'll just show the picture of our main battle ship BRP Raja Homabon
Vs China's destroyer.
There's just no way Philippines would win in a prolonged naval conflict against China, if China decides to send off one of it's major destroyers then.....only God know what will happen.

The only chance of winning against China is perhaps all of the South East Asian countries combined forces and fight off China, even then things will still be hard, with the naval capabilities of the East Asian countries. Perhaps a military intervention from Uncle Sam might be the only chance to defend against this mighty giant.
